B2B Soft and Hyperlink have teamed up to provide wireless retailers with an integrated solution for selling electronic prepaid wireless airtime refills through B2B Soft’s retail management platform, Wireless Standard. The new feature will allow easy access to Hyperlink’s prepaid refill system that includes over 100 of the most popular wireless and international long distance carriers directly from Wireless Standard. The February 2010 integration will make the sale of e-pins seamless and straightforward by offering retailers speed, security, and accuracy, along with account reconciliation, all from one system.
The sale of e-pins in the past has, without integration, meant that retailers had to use an online system, then enter the entire transaction again into the POS to track the payment. With an integrated system, there is no need for double entries and no questions in tracking the cash payments. Prepaid pins have also come in the form of “hard cards”, but as physical inventory items they must be counted and tracked by retailers. One of their disadvantages is that they are easily stolen and have proven very difficult to track down and relocate without serious effort.
Along with reducing errors and fraud in airtime pin sales, access to e-pins via Wireless Standard will offer retailers increased sales versatility and streamlined reconciliation. B2B Soft clients will see greater flexibility with the ability to purchase and load prepaid airtime in any denomination whenever their customers desire, instantly. Airtime card inventory and shipping charges can be reduced or eliminated, sales space freed, and the entire sales process easily tracked and accounted for.
