Down the Cereal Aisle---More than wisdom and love of food in this new memorial cookbook

Going down the cereal aisle of the grocery store after the death of a child can be a heart-wrenching experience. Can you help those in grief?

(PRWEB) February 20, 2003

A cookbook with a new approach is making its debut this spring, showing readers not only how to prepare memorial recipes sent in by bereaved parents and siblings, but how to reach those in the deep crevices of grieving after the death of a child. There are tips on understanding what grief is, how to break some of the myths, how to take care of one's health, as well as anecdotes and poetry on food.

"We find the cereal aisle particularly difficult to tread. Kids live off cereal and knowing we can't buy it for our child any more produces great emotions," says the author, Alice J. Wisler.

Alice J. Wisler wants this book's proceeds to go to charities such as The National Childhood Cancer Foundation because "the need is great and Daniel (her son who died in 1997 after cancer treatments) would want it this way."
