FilterPoint, a spam filtering service started by Khera Communications, Inc. (KCI) founders, brothers Raj and Vivek Khera, and other investors, was acquired by InfoStructures, Inc. (http://www. infostructures. com/pages/filterpoint. asp), a technology solution provider to federal and commercial clients. FilterPoint will become part of InfoStructures' managed services offerings for its client base.

InfoStructures will be enhancing the FilterPoint service under the new moniker, InfoStructures FilterPoint services, to include additional capabilities such as disaster recovery and email archiving services. "InfoStructures' solutions integrate best-of-breed vendors and technologies together to improve client worksplaces and enhance client experience. We plan to build on FilterPoint's success and enhance our ability to offer clients a multitude of managed services, said InfoStructures CEO Guy Wassertzug. "This acquisition builds on our core strength of providing cost-effective, scalable, and manageable solutions to our growing client base."

KCI, a holding company that develops and spins out web-based services and portals including MailerMailer (http://www. mailermailer. com/index. rwp), MoreBusiness. com, and GovCon, originally developed FilterPoint's simple user interface and dashboard. This intuitive design is a hallmark of other Khera Communications' products, such as permission-based email newsletter service MailerMailer, which does intensive usability testing as part of its product development process. Raj Khera, also CEO of MailerMailer, comments that "MailerMailer's rigorous customer screening process will continue to incorporate some of FilterPoint's technology to ensure that only legitimate senders use our email newsletter service."
