The Dental Assistant students at Pima Medical Institute, 957 S. Dobson Road in Mesa hope to get to the “tooth” of the matter of dental hygiene by doing free outreach to teach proper brushing and flossing techniques to kids during February, National Children’s Dental Health Month.

Teachers, or others who work with children, are encouraged to call Rhonda Miller at 480-644-0267 to set up an appointment to have the dental assistant students interact with the children while providing useful information on proper oral hygiene.

“Children who learn proper dental hygiene at an early age are much more likely to continue those habits throughout their lives,” said Christopher Luebke, campus director for the Mesa career college. “It’s really a win/win situation for all as the children will learn how to care for their teeth, and our students will receive hands-on experience working in their field. Our students are ready to reach out and help more children than ever during February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month.”

The training period for dental assistants is 30 weeks for day classes for day classes, or 33 weeks for evening classes. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for Dental Assistants is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2012.

PMI is one of the premier medical career colleges in the western United States. The privately owned, accredited school provides students with a well-rounded education embracing theoretical classroom studies, as well as on-site training in allied health facilities within the community. This gives the student the opportunity to function in a working environment.

Bancassurance in Japan - Where Are the Opportunities for Foreign Competitors

Bancassurance in Japan - Where Are the Opportunities for Foreign Competitors

Dublin (PRWEB) January 7, 2006

Research and Markets (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c30317 (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c30317)) has announced the addition of Bancassurance in Japan - Where Are the Opportunities for Foreign Competitors? to their offering

The life and pensions market in Japan is the second largest in the world thus offering significant opportunities to those who can capture even small market shares. The slow deregulation of the market is opening up opportunities for foreign insurers, who are taking advantage of the ailing local industry and their experience from international markets to move into new product and distribution areas.

The market context chapter in this report explores the size and growth of the market, key influences on future growth, and the current distribution landscape. The report provides an overview of the distribution landscape in Japan and describes the current state of bancassurance in Japan and discusses the reasons for its recent growth. The report explores whether bancassurance can grow further and which products are likely to be the future success stories.

The sheer size of the market coupled with the demographic changes which are driving the need for private sector solutions make the Japanese market an attractive proposition for foreign insurers looking at new territories. Those who can capture even a small share of the world’s second largest market will be able to generate significant income.

Whilst domestic insures have struggled to maintain premium income in the face of poor economic conditions, foreign insurers have taken advantage; deregulation has significantly reduced demand for conventional death-security-type products and increased demand for health-protection-type products, which foreign insurers are well place to capture.

Forecasts suggest that the market for annuities will continue to grow. This places the foreign insurers in a very strong position to capture more business in Japan. Leveraging group resources means that foreign insurers are able to bring best practice to the Japanese market.
